Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise Review

well hey!
In an effort to get this blog going, I'm gonna do a review (that I don't have a video of yet u__u") on Manic Panic's Atomic Turquoise.

This was actually the first EVER alternative color I had ever tried on my hair. This also meant that it was my first time ever bleaching my hair.
Scary, but I made it though. :D
Unfortunately, since it was my first time bleaching my hair, I didn't have any idea how long to leave it on, or how light to get my hair.
I lightened my naturally light-ish brown hair (at this time, it's gradually getting darker as I get older though >:I ) to an almost light honey blonde.

Poop photo is poop. Dealin' with it.
'Neways. so I put the Atomic Turquoise over my honey-ish hair, and low and behold, my hair was not light enough to get that pretty light blue that I was so looking forward to. :(
Needless to say, it turned a dead-slug green that was very unappealing.
oh boy. yeah it may look alright here, but I was DEVASTATED. I played it off like I didn't mind, but deep down, I was really really worried.
I had just bleached my hair (and at that time I thought I had killed it (even though it was hardly damaged)) and dyed it for nothing?!
All ended well, and I put Manic Panic's Shocking Blue over the green, and it was very very pretty. n__n

Buuut....
Atomic Turquoise was the original reason WHY I wanted to bleach and dye my hair, I LOVED this color from the pictures I had seen of it.
I had to try it again.
So I did.
By this time, when I bleached my hair, it was a very light yellow. Not quite white, but kinda getting there.
And boy oh boy did I leave that shit on for a looooong time.
the light blonde ^^^

end result^^^
This was a GORGEOUS color.
holy crap. loved it.
Probably my most photographed hair to date, haha.
super lovely light blue color. very bright
I got tons of compliments on it :)

It stayed for a pretty good long time too. :3
Sadly, my happy times with this hair were cut short by..
CHLORINE.
Stripped my hair of all color very quickly :(
it turned a silvery-blue-seafoam instantly
wahhhhh ;___ ;

Over all:
-Awesome color
-Pretty good staying power
-Fades nicely
- Needs very light hair to work on
-No chance against chlorine, haha

Green/teal/yellow, and black/pink/magenta~!

Haven't had black in a looooooooong time, but it looks great so it's okay! :D

Representing Jupiter! It looks like radioactive hair, but it's just alien.
